hehe, ah yes. applicable to all engineering/programming projects.

and of course the 90%/10% rule: the first 90% of a project takes 90% of the alloted time, the last 10% takes another 90% of the time.

i firmly believe that all decent projects are developed primarily by a single person. sourceforge is full of free and excellent essentially one person projects that rival massive commercial efforts.

the trick these days is to leverage other people libraries as much as possible (which are generally single person projects too).
